Order in Council 229/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing carried out a review of the Provincial Policy Statement, consulted with municipalities, stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and members of the public and has decided that the Provincial Policy Statement should be revised;

And whereas the attached Provincial Policy Statement provides that it is effective as of May 1, 2020;

And whereas the Minister recommends that the Lieutenant Governor in Council approve the attached Provincial Policy Statement;

Now therefore the attached Provincial Policy Statement is hereby approved under section 3 of the Planning Act.
