Order in Council 2454/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 31(3) of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, S.O. 2005, chapter 11, on and after the date of this order, the following rates of remuneration shall apply to persons appointed to the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council during the term of their appointment:

1. For the member who is also chair, $350 per day where the time spent in performing necessary Council duties exceeds three hours, and $175 per day where the time spent is three hours or less;
2. For the member who is also vice-chair, $250 per day where the time spent in performing necessary Council duties exceeds three hours, and $125 per day where the time spent is three hours or less;
3. For any other member, $200 per day where the time spent in performing necessary Council duties exceeds three hours, and $100 per day where the time spent is three hours or less;

And further, the chair, vice-chair and members are entitled to be paid travel and other necessary expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council in accordance with the policy on expenses set out in the Directives and Guidelines of the Management Board of Cabinet. Such expenses may include expenses incurred as a result of a member’s disabilities.
