Order in Council 2458/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Forensics Advisory Committee was established by Order in Council to provide advice to the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services on matters related to forensic science and the oversight of forensic laboratories;

Therefore pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of persons who serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities and to reimburse them for appropriate expenses, the following is determined:

1. The Chair (Part-Time) of the Forensics Advisory Committee shall be paid a per diem of $350 and Members (Part-Time) of the Forensics Advisory Committee shall be paid a per diem of $200.
2. The Chair and Members of the Forensics Advisory Committee shall be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses incurred while engaging in the business of the Committee in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
