Order in Council 270/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 8(2) of the Coroners Act, as amended,

The Honourable Edward Then

of Toronto is hereby reappointed as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding two years effective from the later of March 5, 2023, or the date this Order in Council is made.

And pursuant to subsection 8 (3) of the Coroners Act, as amended, the Honourable Edward Then is hereby redesignated as a part-time Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, effective from the later of March 5, 2023 or the date this Order in Council is made.

And that Order in Council numbered O.C. 1541/2020 made November 20, 2020, is hereby revoked effective from the later of March 5, 2023, or the date this Order in Council is made.
