Order in Council 290/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsections 2(2), 5(1) and 8(1) of the Executive Council Act, and despite any provision of a statute or Order in Council, the Solicitor General’s powers, duties, functions and responsibilities in respect of clause 6(1)(e) of the Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy Act, 2021, and the administration of clause 6(1)(e) of the Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy Act, 2021 are hereby assigned and transferred from the Solicitor General to the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services.

Further, Order in Council O.C. 1187/2022 dated August 29, 2022, and Order in Council O.C. 1212/2022 dated August 29, 2022 are hereby revised and shall be interpreted accordingly.
