Order in Council 30/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas, O.C. 43/2021 dated January 7, 2021 appointed Justin Mooney as a member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years from the date the order in council was made;

And whereas, Justin Mooney is to be designated as chair of the Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation;

And whereas, it is desirable to align the term of Justin Mooney’s appointment as a member of the Board of Directors and the term of his designation as chair;

Now therefore, pursuant to sections 2 and 3 of the Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation Act,

1. O.C. 43/2021 dated January 7, 2021 appointing Justin Mooney as a member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation be revoked, effective the later of April 16, 2023 or the date this Order in Council is made;
2. Justin Mooney of Toronto be appointed as a member and designated as chair of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding 3 years, effective the later of April 16, 2023 or the date this Order in Council is made.
