Order in Council 354/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas C. Michael Mitchell was appointed as full-time vice-chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board by Order in Council O.C. 353/2018 dated February 28, 2018;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 110(24) of the Labour Relations Act, 1995,

During the term of his appointment, C. Michael Mitchell shall be paid an annual rate of remuneration of $143,583, which rate is subject to an adjustment in the same manner and concurrently with an adjustment, if any, which is effective on or after January 1, 2018, to the rates set out in Schedule 2 of Order in Council O.C. 2310/2017;

Further, C. Michael Mitchell shall be eligible for benefits, including vacation, comparable to the benefit entitlements of OPS executives in the Senior Management Group;

Further, C. Michael Mitchell may elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan;

Further, C. Michael Mitchell shall be reimbursed for reasonable work-related expenses while engaged in the business of the Ontario Labour Relations Board in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives;

And further, this Order in Council comes into effect on the same day as Order in Council O.C. 353/2018 comes into effect.
