On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas, pursuant to section 10 of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.26, the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care wishes to establish a Patient and Family Advisory Council (“Council”) comprised of no more than sixteen members, including a Chair effective September 1, 2019;

therefore, pursuant to subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006, S.O.2006, Chapter 21, Schedule F, and section 10 of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.26, as amended, and for the period of time during which the members are appointed to the Council, such members shall receive the following remuneration:

  1. The member designated by the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care as the Chair shall be compensated at the rate of $723 per diem to a maximum of 200 days per year.
  2. The remaining 15 members shall each be compensated at a rate of up to $150.00 per diem to a maximum of 30 days per year.

further, all the members shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Council in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

order in council 741/2016 dated May 11, 2016 is revoked effective September 1, 2019.
