On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Order in Council O.C. 1265/2017 fixed the monthly payments to be made by Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 employers under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 to defray the cost of administering the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations made under that Act.

It has become necessary to increase the amount of those payments for the month of March, 2018.

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 22(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Order in Council O.C. 1265/2017 is amended by striking out the paragraph numbered “2” near the end of it and substituting the following paragraph:

  1. For the month of March 2018, the payment shall be a reconciliation amount equal to the difference between the Ministry’s 2017-2018 year-end actual expenditures and the total actual recoveries from the Board of the previous eleven months (i.e., from April 2017 to February 2018, inclusive), but in any case shall be no more than $21,486,878.37.
