Order in Council 413/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas climate change has far reaching implications for the environment, the public and the economy of Ontario;

And whereas the Government of Ontario has established the Ontario Climate Change Solutions Deployment Corporation to stimulate the development of industry, trades and business undertakings in Ontario that further the deployment of commercially available technology that reduces greenhouse gas emissions from buildings or the production of goods;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to establish agencies and provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

The following rates of remuneration shall apply to persons appointed to the board of directors of the Ontario Climate Change Solutions Deployment Corporation during the term of their appointment:

1. for the member who is also chair, $500 per diem;
2. for the member who is also vice-chair,$250 per diem;
3. for any other member, $200 per diem;

And further, the chair, vice-chair and members are entitled to be paid travel and other necessary expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the board of directors of the Ontario Climate Change Solutions Deployment Corporation in accordance with the policy on expenses set out in the Directives and Guidelines of the Management Board of Cabinet.

And further, this Order in Council takes effect on the day that the regulation made under the Development Corporations Act, establishing the Ontario Climate Change Solutions Deployment Corporation comes into force.
