Order in Council 470/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to section 2 of the Financial Services Tribunal Act, 2017 (“Act”),

1. The Chair of the Financial Services Tribunal (“Tribunal”) shall be paid remuneration of $60,000 per annum, which covers the first four days of work in any given month, and a per diem of $350 for any additional day of work in that month.
2. The two Vice-Chairs of the Tribunal shall respectively be paid remuneration of $30,000 per annum, which covers the first four days of work in any given month, and a per diem of $250 for any additional day of work in that month.
3. In addition to the remuneration in paragraphs 1 and 2, the Chair and two Vice-Chairs of the Tribunal shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Tribunal and in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

And further Order in Council O.C. 1788/98 is hereby revoked.

Now therefore this Order shall be in effect on the day that sections 2 and 20 of the Act come into force.
