Order in Council 505/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council considered it necessary to establish the Skilled Trades Panel, a short-term advisory body to provide advice and recommendations to the Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development on matters relating to the modernization of the skilled trades and apprenticeship system;

And whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council considers it necessary to extend the term of the Skilled Trades Panel;

Therefore, pursuant to section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act,

Order in Council O.C. 1266/2020, dated September 3, 2020, is amended by revoking sections 1 and 2 and substituting the following:

1. The Skilled Trades Panel is established for a term of 13 months, effective September 3, 2020;
2. The Skilled Trades Panel shall consist of up to five members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council to serve at pleasure for terms not exceeding 13 months, and the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall designate one member as Chair.
