Order in Council 505/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to section 9 of Ontario Regulation 4/22:

1. The chair of the board of directors of Intellectual Property Ontario shall be compensated at the rate of $15,000.00 a year, which will be prorated where the chair is only appointed for part of the year, plus an additional $500.00 per diem up to a yearly combined maximum of $85,000.00. The vice-chair of the board of directors of Intellectual Property Ontario shall be compensated at the rate of $10,000.00 a year, which will be prorated where the vice-chair is only appointed for part of the year, plus an additional $400.00 per diem up to a yearly maximum of $66,000.00.
2. The other members of the board of directors of Intellectual Property Ontario shall be compensated at the rate of $5,000.00 a year, which will be prorated where a member is only appointed for part of the year, plus an additional $300.00 per diem up to a yearly maximum of $47,000.00.
3. Appointees shall be reimbursed for work-related expenses incurred while engaged in the business of Intellectual Property Ontario in accordance with the Travel, Meal, and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other Treasury Board/Management Board of Cabinet directives.
