On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Government of Ontario is committed to contributing significant funding toward transportation projects in City of Hamilton that meet the needs of the people of that City in a fiscally responsible manner;

And whereas the Government of Ontario considers it advisable to appoint an advisory body to assist the Government in compiling a preliminary list of transportation projects that will allow the Government to flow available funding to the City of Hamilton for transportation purposes;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities:

Hamilton Transportation Task Force Established

  1. The Hamilton Transportation Task Force (“Task Force”), including a maximum of seven members, one of whom shall serve as Chair, is hereby established and shall last for a maximum of one year from the date of this order.

Appointments

  1. The members of the Task Force shall be appointed by, and report to, the Minister of Transportation (“Minister”) to serve at the pleasure of the Minister.

Terms of Reference

  1. The Minister shall determine the terms of reference for the Task Force, and may amend them from time to time.

Reasonable Expenses

  1. The members of the Task Force shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while discharging their duties and in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
