On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas in its response to the First Case Management Masters Remuneration Commission, the Government decided to establish a non-registered supplemental pension plan to provide pension benefits to Case Management Masters in addition to those provided by the Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) set out in Schedule 1 under the Public Service Pension Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 48;

And whereas on March 8, 2017, the Case Management Masters Supplemental Pension Plan was established by Order in Council 515/2017 (“CMM Supplemental Plan”);

And whereas the CMM Supplemental Plan defines the Administrator as the Ontario Public Service Pension Board (OPB) referred to in the PSPP or any other person with whom the Minister has entered into an agreement to administer it;

And whereas the OPB is authorized under paragraph 32(f) of the PSPP to administer other pension or retiree benefit plans with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council (LGIC);

And whereas the OPB currently administers or provides administrative services for the following plans in addition to the PSPP: (i) the Public Service Supplementary Benefits Account for members of the Public Service Pension Plan whose salaries are above a certain threshold, (ii) the Supplemental Pension Plan for Justices of the Peace, (iii) the retirees’ insured health and dental benefits plan, and (iv) the Provincial Judges Pension Plan;

And whereas the LGIC considers it to be efficient and advisable to enter into an agreement with the OPB to administer the CMM Supplemental Plan;

Therefore pursuant to paragraph 32 (f) of the PSPP, approval is provided to the OPB to enter into an agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario, as represented by the President of the Treasury Board, to administer the CMM Supplemental Plan.
