Order in Council 585/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 62(1) of the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020, land may be designated as transit corridor land if the Lieutenant Governor in Council is of the opinion that the designation is or may be required for a priority transit project, as defined in section 2 of the Act;

And whereas all or part of the properties listed on sheet one of the designation plan number 17-W0016-992-YNSE-01 prepared by GeoVera (ON) Ltd. and dated October 28, 2022, attached hereto are or may be required as transit corridor land for the Yonge North Subway Extension, which is a priority transit project;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 62(1) of the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020, all or part of the properties listed in the above-mentioned table, as further described in the pictorial portion of the plan are designated as transit corridor land for all purposes in respect of the Yonge North Subway Extension, effective the date of this Order.

Further, Order in Council O.C. 1050/2022, is hereby revoked, effective the date this Order in Council is made.
