Order in Council 600/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council has established and continued the office of Special Advisor, International Missions and Tours, to the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs (the “Special Advisor”) and has reappointed the Special Advisor;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve Her Majesty's Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Special Advisor's remuneration

1. The Special Advisor shall be paid remuneration at the rate of $750 per day, up to a maximum of 68 days, such that the maximum payable is $51,000 in respect of the period beginning April 1, 2018 and not extending beyond December 31, 2018.

Expenses

2. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the duties of the Special Advisor in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet's Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
