Order in Council 651/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Advisory Panel for the Greater Toronto Area West Highway Corridor project (the “Advisory Panel”) was established by Order in Council 617/2016, dated April 20, 2016, for a period not exceeding one year from the date of the order;

And whereas the term of the Advisory Panel has been extended for an additional period to expire on April 20, 2018 by Order in Council 650/2017 dated, March 29, 2017;

And whereas the foregoing Order in Council provided that the Advisory Panel shall be paid such remuneration as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to the Prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities:

1. The members of the Advisory Panel other than the Chair shall be paid remuneration at the rate of three hundred ninety eight dollars ($398.00) per diem to a maximum of one hundred eleven thousand four hundred and forty dollars ($111,440) in total for work carried out in respect of the Advisory Panel.
2. The Chair of the Advisory Panel shall be paid remuneration at the rate of five hundred eighty five dollars ($585.00) per diem to a maximum of eighty one thousand nine hundred dollars ($81,900.00) in total for work carried out in respect of the Advisory Panel.
3. The Advisory Panel shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the work of the Advisory Panel and in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and other relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
4. Order in Council 618/2016, dated April 20, 2016 is revoked.
