Order in Council 676/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Government of Ontario has established an advisory body referred to as the Premier's Council on Equality of Opportunity to lead and provide advice to the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services and the Premier of Ontario on specific initiatives that support young people in the evolving economy and provide such other assistance as may be required by the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services and/or the Premier of Ontario.

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of the advisors who serve her Majesty's Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

1. Members of the Council shall be compensated at the rate of $150.00 per diem, up to a maximum of 6 days per year;
2. The Vice-Chair of the Council shall be compensated at the rate of $175.00 per diem, up to a maximum of 6 days per year;
3. The Chair of the Council shall be compensated at the rate of $225.00 per diem, up to a maximum of 6 days per year; and
4. Members of the Council, including the Chair and Vice-Chair, and any chapererones for members of the Council who are under 18 years of ageshall be eligible for reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Council in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
