Order in Council 684/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario Act, 2005 establishes the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (“Council”);

And Whereas subsection 2(2) of said Act provides that the Council shall consist of the members of its board of directors;

And Whereas subsection 2(5) of said Act provides that at least one member shall be an employee of what is now the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development in a non-voting capacity,

And Whereas Sheldon Levy of Toronto was appointed by O.C. 1775/2016 as a non-voting member of the Council’s board of directors for a two-year term commencing on November 23, 2016;

And Whereas Sheldon Levy left the employ of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development effective September 30, 2017;

Now therefore, pursuant to subsection 2(3) of the Higher Education Quality Council Act, 2005,

Gergely Orencsak of Toronto

is appointed as a non-voting replacement member of the board of directors of the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council from the date this Order is made until November 22, 2018,

And further that Order-in-Council 1775/2016 be revoked effective the date of this Order.
