Order in Council 688/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

To give effect to the Order in Council reappointing and redesignating the Honourable Mr. Justice Richard D. Schneider as Chair of the Ontario Review Board pursuant to sections 672.38(1) and 672.4(1) of the Criminal Code, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-46, Mr. Justice Schneider shall receive remuneration and expenses as follows:

1. annual salary of $290,793, reflecting provincial judges’ base salary as of  April 1, 2016, and
2. benefits of 6.3 % of annual salary, and
3. reasonable travel and other expenses paid in accordance with Management Board of Cabinet Directives and Guidelines, and
4. During his term as Chair, his remuneration will be consistent with the remuneration of a sitting Ontario Court of Justice judge, and he will receive an annual increase based on the increases in the Industrial Aggregate Index, and the salary awards of the Provincial Judges Remuneration Commission if they are greater than the Industrial Aggregate Index.
