Order in Council 867/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council 866/2023 the Lieutenant Governor in Council established the position of Special Advisor, PowerCo Sub Investment (the “Special Advisor”);

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Remuneration

The Special Advisor shall be paid remuneration at the following rates, up to a maximum amount of

$186,000 ($30,000 + $156,000) per year:

1. an annual retainer in the amount of $30,000 for each year during the term of the appointment;
2. $1000 per diem, up to a maximum of 156 days per year, such that the maximum amount payable is $156,000 per year.

Expenses

In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the duties of the Special Advisor in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive
