On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Garth Dee was appointed as full-time vice-chair of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal by Order in Council numbered O.C. 87/2017 dated January 19, 2017;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 173(2) of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997,

Garth Dee shall be paid annual remuneration of one hundred twenty-three thousand two hundred and twenty-five dollars ($123,225);

Further, Garth Dee shall be eligible for benefits, excluding pension, comparable to the benefit entitlements of the Senior Management Group of the Ontario Public Service;

Further, Garth Dee may elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan. If he declines to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan, he shall not be entitled to compensation in lieu of participation in the Plan;

Further, Garth Dee shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

And further, this Order in Council comes into effect on January 19, 2017.
