Order in Council 908/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas title to certain lands is vested in Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Ontario and under the jurisdiction and control of the Minister of Transportation, which lands situated in the Township of Toronto, City of Brampton, Province of Ontario, in the Regional Municipality of Peel, being,

Part of the West half of Lot 13, Concession 3 East of Hurontario Street, designated as Part 1 and Part of the West half of Lot 14, Concession 3 East of Hurontario Street, designated as Part 3 on a plan filed with the Ministry of Transportation as P-5098-48, being a Reference Plan deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Land Titles Division of Peel as Plan 43R-8817

And whereas the subject lands are identified as surplus and the Minister of Transportation has no interest in retaining them for known transportation projects, plans or studies, so that it is deemed expedient that the jurisdiction and control of the said lands be given to  the Minister of Government and Consumer Services, who has agreed to accept the jurisdiction and control thereof for land assembly purposes;

Therefore, pursuant to Subsection 2(2) of the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.50, as amended; and Subsection 9(1) of the Ministry of Infrastructure Act, 2011, S.O. 2011, c. 9, Sched. 27, as amended, and Order in Council O.C. 1152/2018 dated October 22, 2018, the jurisdiction and control of the above lands is hereby placed under the control of the Minister of Government and Consumer Services.
