Amendments to the anti-racism data standards in English

  1. Standard 6 (Indirect Collection) is amended by adding the following sentence immediately after the list of bullet points:

    Additionally, the Ministry of the Solicitor General may collect personal information indirectly when direct collection is not feasible and it is collecting personal information provided by police services as required or authorized by the regulations.

  2. Standard 8 (Notices) is amended by striking out the word “That” at the beginning of the second bullet point under “Part 3 – Notice – personal information already collected under another Act” and capitalizing the subsequent word “the”.

  1. La Norme 6 (Collecte indirecte) est modifiée par adjonction de la phrase suivante immédiatement après la liste à puces:

    Par ailleurs, le ministère du Solliciteur général peut recueillir des renseignements personnels de façon indirecte si la collecte directe ne convient pas et qu’il recueille des renseignements personnels fournis par des services de police selon ce qu’autorisent ou exigent les règlements.
