Overview

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee program uses two intake systems to manage applications. Before you can apply to the program, you must register in either the Expression of Interest system or the Express Entry system to let the OINP know you wish to be invited to apply.

After you get a notification of interest through the Express Entry system

If you receive a notification of interest through the Express Entry system, you do not need to contact the program. You must submit your application to the OINP within 45 calendar days from the date that your notification of interest from Ontario is issued.

1. Find out which draw you were invited under

After you receive a notification of interest, you may submit an online application to the OINP if you qualify under the Ontario Express Entry stream for which your notification of interest was issued. Use the date of your notification of interest to locate the details of the draw on the OINP Program Updates page.

2. Make sure you meet the requirements

Each stream has a number of requirements you must meet before you can apply.

Review the stream requirements below:

French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream

3. Have your supporting documents ready

If a supporting document is not in French or English, you must provide a copy of the original document and a notarized translation of the document. Please read Document translation and notarization for more information.

Please note that your application must be complete and all required documents must be uploaded. If your application is not complete, including all required documents, we will return your application and refund your fee.

If you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence from IRCC while your application is being processed by the OINP, your profile is no longer available for us to nominate you.
