Customized transportation data and information products
Learn how to order customized data products and services from the Ministry of Transportation.
Submitting a request for customized data
You can use this page to submit a request for a customized set of data from the Ministry of Transportation.
Depending on the request, this process can take 6 to 8 weeks to complete. Requests that do not meet the appropriate criteria may be denied.
Before submitting a request, you should check that the data you want is not already available as part of Ontario’s data catalogue. For example, you can request driver and vehicle information such as driver records and vehicle records from ServiceOntario.
If the data you are looking for is not available elsewhere, you can submit a request for a customized dataset.
Please review all the information on this page before submitting a request for a customized dataset or information product.
Time and costs
We will evaluate your request to determine:
- how long it would take to fulfill
- what costs may be involved, such as:
- the setup of a secure automated delivery of the data file (if ongoing)
- IT script development
- administrative
- recovery of other costs incurred by the Ministry
Once we have evaluated your request:
- you may be required to fill out and sign additional documentation
- a cost estimate will be sent to you for approval via email before the data is extracted
- once the cost estimate is approved, data will be provided to you in a secure manner
- you will be sent an invoice that must be paid within 30 days
