Minister’s Order made under the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000
Signed Minister’s order specifying that TSSA may carry out certain compliance inspections under the Federal Carbon Tax Transparency Act, 2019.
Minister’s Order
Pursuant to section 3.6 of the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000 the Minister may by order specify any additional object for the Technical Standards and Safety Authority.
The Minister of Government and Consumer Services hereby makes the following order:
The following additional object is added to the objects of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority:
Carry out inspections under the Federal Carbon Tax Transparency Act, 2019 as authorized by the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines or such other member of the Executive Council to whom responsibility for the administration of that act may be assigned or transferred under the Executive Council Act, and any activities necessary or incidental to fulfilling its assigned responsibility.
This order comes into effect immediately.
