Putting Consumers First Act (Consumer Protection Statute Law Amendment), 2017

We, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of Ontario, name,

  1. July 1, 2018 as the day on which the following provisions of the Putting Consumers First Act (Consumer Protection Statute Law Amendment), 2017, c. 5, which amend the Consumer Protection Act, 2002, come into force:

    Schedule 2, s. 17, 19 (3).

  2. January 1, 2018 as the day on which the following provision of the Putting Consumers First Act (Consumer Protection Statute Law Amendment), 2017, c. 5, which amends the Payday Loans Act, 2008, comes into force:

    Schedule 2, s. 21.

  3. July 1, 2018 as the day on which the following provisions of the Putting Consumers First Act (Consumer Protection Statute Law Amendment), 2017, c. 5, which amend the Payday Loans Act, 2008, come into force:

    Schedule 2, s. 25 (2), (3), (5).

  4. January 1, 2018 as the day on which the following provision of the Putting Consumers First Act (Consumer Protection Statute Law Amendment), 2017, c. 5, which amends the City of Toronto Act, 2006, comes into force:

    Schedule 2, s. 26.

  5. January 1, 2018 as the day on which the following provision of the Putting Consumers First Act (Consumer Protection Statute Law Amendment), 2017, c. 5, which amends the Municipal Act, 2001, comes into force:

    Schedule 2, s. 27.
