notice is hereby given that, on behalf of Kingston Health Sciences Centre, application will be made to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario to enact An Act respecting the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, 2018 (the “Application”). Kingston Health Sciences Centre currently provides the healthcare and other services formerly provided by Kingston General Hospital (“KGH”) and Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph of the Hotel Dieu of Kingston (“HDH”).  In addition, the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (the “Foundation”) holds and likely will receive gifts directed to these organizations. Kingston Health Sciences Centre will make the Application to enact special legislation to ensure that all current and future gifts made directly (or indirectly through the Foundation) to benefit KGH or HDH are, in substance, used as intended. This arrangement is by agreement of all four organizations. 

The Application will be considered by the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills (the “Committee”). Any person who has an interest in the Application and who wishes to make submissions to the Committee, for or against the Application, should notify, in writing, the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Building, Queen’s Park, Toronto, Ontario, M7A lA2.
