On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas His Majesty, King Charles the Third, ascended to the Crown of Canada on September 8, 2022, upon the passing of our dearly beloved late Sovereign Queen Elizabeth the Second;

And whereas pursuant to section 72 of the Legislation Act, 2006 a change of reigning sovereign does not affect anything done or begun under the previous reigning sovereign and does not affect any appointment or the holding of any Office under the Crown;

And whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council nevertheless considers it desirable to reaffirm the appointments of the deputy ministers who serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario;

Therefore pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty The King in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities and to the statutory authorities cited in the Orders in Council set out in Column A of Schedule 1 as applicable:

Effective September 14, 2022, the appointment of persons set out in Column B of Schedule 1 to the deputy minister positions set out in Column C of Schedule 1 are continued for the balance of the terms set out in those Orders in Council which are hereby deemed amended accordingly.
