Order in Council 1264/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act, 1996 establishes the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO);

And whereas subsection 16 (1) of the said Act provides that the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall appoint a chief executive officer, after consulting with the directors of the board of EQAO;

And whereas an OIC to appoint a chief executive officer of EQAO is submitted for approval;

Now therefore the chief executive officer of EQAO shall receive as remuneration:

1. Annual salary of $245,000 (two hundred and forty-five thousand dollars); and
2. The standard pension and benefit entitlements of Senior Management Group employees.
