Order in Council 1901/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Agreement between Canada, Ontario and the Pic Mobert First Nation, dated for reference the 24^th day of March, 2014, is a specific agreement entered into pursuant to the Indian Lands Agreement (1986) Act, S.C. 1987-88, c. 39 and the Indian Lands Agreement (1986) Confirmation Act, 2010, S.O. 2010, c. 1, Schedule 10 (the “Specific Agreement”);

And Whereas the Specific Agreement has been executed and shall come into force upon its confirmation by Orders in Council of both Canada and Ontario, and confirmation by the Pic Mobert First Nation;

And Whereas the Pic Mobert First Nation has delivered to Canada and Ontario written notice of confirmation of the Specific Agreement in accordance with article 23 of the Specific Agreement;

And Whereas the Specific Agreement provides that Ontario shall, by the Order in Council by which it confirms the Specific Agreement, release and quitclaim to Canada, for the use and benefit of the Pic Mobert First Nation, all and any rights to the Minerals in the Pic Mobert Reserve and the Lands, as defined in the Specific Agreement, and all and any rights to revenues derived from the Minerals in the Pic Mobert Reserve and the Lands, from and after the date the Lands, as defined in the Specific Agreement, are set apart as a reserve by Canada;

Now Therefore Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, is pleased hereby to order that:

1. The Specific Agreement, attached hereto as Schedule A, is hereby confirmed.
2. All and any rights to the Minerals in the Pic Mobert Reserve and the Lands, as defined in the Specific Agreement, and all and any rights to revenues derived from the Minerals in the Pic Mobert Reserve and the Lands, are hereby released and quitclaimed to Canada, for the use and benefit of the Pic Mobert First Nation, from and after the date the Lands, as defined in the Specific Agreement, are set apart as a reserve by Canada.
