Order in Council 2102/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the High Speed Rail Planning Advisory Body (the “Advisory Body”) was established by Order in Council 2101/2017, dated October 18, 2017, for a period not exceeding three years from the date of the order;

And whereas the foregoing Order in Council provided that the Advisory Body shall be paid such remuneration and expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to the Prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities:

1. The members of the Advisory Body other than the Chair shall be paid remuneration at the rate of $398.00 per diem to a maximum of $28,850.00 in total for work carried out in respect of the Advisory Body.
2. The Chair of the Advisory Body shall be paid remuneration at the rate of $585.00 per diem to a maximum of $64,350.00 in total for work carried out in respect of the Advisory Body.
3. The members of the Advisory Body may be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while discharging their duties and in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
