On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to the legislative and other legal authorities cited in Column B of Schedule 1 to this Order in Council:

  1. Subject to paragraphs 2 and 3, the per diem rate of remuneration of persons appointed to hold office on a part-time basis in adjudicative clusters, adjudicative tribunals and regulatory agencies listed in Column A of Schedule 1 to this Order in a position listed in Column C of Schedule 1 (hereinafter referred to as “part-time appointees”) shall be in accordance with Table 1 set out in Schedule 2 to this Order, effective the dates set out in that Schedule;
  2. Part-time appointees appointed in their professional capacity as required by law or to a labour–related board shall be remunerated at the per diem  rate set out in Table 2 of Schedule 2 to this Order;
  3. The rates of remuneration set out in Tables 1 and 2 of Schedule 2 shall be revised, effective January 1, 2018, by a percentage amount equal to the public sector wage settlement trend in Ontario as reported in the Ontario Budget papers for the 2018-2019 fiscal year that are laid before the Assembly referencing the date that precedes but is closest to January 1, 2018, if positive, in respect of periods of appointment after December 31, 2017;
  4. In the event that any part-time appointees are cross appointed to more than one adjudicative tribunal or regulatory agency, the following restrictions apply:
    1. appointees who hold a full-time appointment are entitled to the remuneration associated with their full-time appointment only;
    2. appointees who hold more than one part-time appointment are entitled to the remuneration associated with each appointment, provided that only one per diem  is paid in respect of a calendar day;
  5. Part-time appointees shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out their duties in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet;
  6. In the event of a conflict between this Order in Council and any previous Order in Council relating to the remuneration of part-time appointees in respect of the period commencing July 1, 2017 or thereafter, this Order in Council prevails.

And Orders in Council O.C. 336/2017 dated February 7, 2017 and 649/2017 dated April 12, 2017 are revoked.
