Order in Council 604/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas on April 4, 2019, it was announced that the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services would become the Ministry of the Solicitor General,

Pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Sanjeev Erry

be appointed Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor Genera,l effective the date this Order in Council is made, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not extending beyond June 28, 2021;

And as Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Sanjeev Erry also be appointed Deputy Minister of Correctional Services pursuant to section 3 of the Ministry of Correctional Services Act, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a term concurrent with his appointment as Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And Sanjeev Erry shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Deputy Minister of Correctional Services in the name of the Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And that Order in Council O.C. 965/2018, dated June 29, 2018 be revoked on the effective date of this appointment.
