On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council considers it necessary to establish a special advisor position to provide advice to the President of the Treasury Board on matters relating to the development of an Ontario Data Authority;

Therefore, pursuant to section 6.1 of the Ministry of Government Services Act:

The position of Special Advisor to support the development of an Ontario Data Authority (the “Special Advisor”) is established as of the date this Order is made for a period not to exceed twelve months from the date of this Order.

The Lieutenant Governor in Council may appoint the Special Advisor to serve at pleasure for a term of up to six months, and the Special Advisor may be re-appointed for an additional term of up to six months.

The Special Advisor shall be accountable to the President of the Treasury Board and shall perform the duties and carry out the activities set out in the Terms of Reference established by the President.

In accordance with subsection 6.1(2) of the Ministry of Government Services Act, the Special Advisor shall be paid such remuneration as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine.
