On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Karen Ellis

be appointed Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General, effective July 12, 2021, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years from the effective date of this appointment;

And as Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Karen Ellis also be appointed Deputy Minister of Correctional Services pursuant to section 3 of the Ministry of Correctional Services Act, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a term concurrent with her appointment as Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And Karen Ellis shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Deputy Minister of Correctional Services in the name of the Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And that Order in Council O.C. 1037/2019, dated July 25, 2019, be revoked effective July 12, 2021.
