On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas subsection 5(1), paragraph 2 of the Environmental Protection Act provides that the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, may, with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, appoint as Directors any other persons or the members of any other classes of persons as the Minister considers necessary in respect of the sections of the Environmental Protection Act or of its regulations that are set out in the appointments;

And whereas the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks proposes to appoint three staff positions at the Ministry of Transportation as Director for Ontario Regulation 457/19 (Vehicle Emissions) under the Environmental Protection Act (EPA), who will assume oversight for the heavy diesel commercial motor vehicle emissions inspection program effective January 18, 2021;

And whereas the proposed appointment signed by the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is attached as Schedule “A”;

Now therefore:

Pursuant to subsection 5(1) paragraph 2 of the Environmental Protection Act, the appointment of the Ministry of Transportation staff as Directors for Ontario Regulation 457/19, attached as Schedule “A”, is hereby approved.
