In November 2019, Jeff Arnold retired after 33 years of service from the Ontario Public Service (OPS). Jeff was hired in 1986 as a part-time pathologist’s assistant. Throughout his career, he held many other roles within the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, which included managing the operations and staff of the Provincial Forensic Pathology Unit to project managing the design and construction of the state-of-the-art Forensic Services and Coroners Complex (FSCC).

Over the years, Jeff has published articles on designing forensic facilities and the efficacy of integrating dental data into investigations of missing and unidentified persons. He received an Accolade Award for his contribution to the RESOLVE Initiative to create a database and public website for Missing Persons and Unidentified Bodies in Ontario; an Amethyst Award for his contribution to the Swissair Flight 111 Crash Investigation; an Ovation Award for his contribution to the Goudge Inquiry Working Group and special recognition by former Deputy Minister Deborah Newman for his work on the FSCC.
