There is no header row for PI Statistics. Header content will be in the first few fields of the file. Header content will be defaulted from the 1st Detail Row in the file.

This file will be created and uploaded by each province. The file will be comma separated value ASCII format. Binary files will not be accepted. Extra fields on a line will be ignored.

  • Unique identifier of the Province.

  • Unique identifier of the Crop Year.

3Plan Name
  • A province specific name of the plan. This will be used to match to the claims for federal Contribution to determine holdbacks. The name of the Agricultural Product can be used as the plan name, but it does not have to be. Ex. Satellite Imagery, Barley, Grains & Oilseeds.

  • Note: for uniqueness, case and white space will be ignored.
4Provincial Initiative Indicator
  • An indicator of whether this Plan/Coverage Level is a provincial initiative.
  • Data type: numeric(1)
  • Valid element values:
    • 0 – No
    • 1 – Yes
  • If this plan is not a provincial initiative, set the indicator to No. If this plan is a provincial initiative, set the indicator to Yes, the Cost Share must be set to High-Cost, and the Federal Production Insurance Premiums must be 0.
5Provincial Ag Product Code
  • The Ag Product Code assigned by the Province to the Agricultural Product covered by this plan.
  • Data type: character(20)
  • If you are adding a new product with a new product code, enter the new code in this field. For an existing product, enter the existing product code in this field.
6Provincial Ag Product Description
  • The Ag Product text description assigned by the Province to this Agricultural Product.
  • Data type: character(50)
  • If you are adding a new product with a new product code, enter the new description in this field. For an existing product, enter the current description of the product in this field.
7Plan SubType
  • The unique code that represents a subtype of a plan. Ex: Multi-peril, Single Peril, Unseeded acreage. A subtype is either Yield-based or Non-yield based. (A subtype cannot be both)

8Reporting Date
  • The date of the statistics being reported.
